ABOUT ADAM

Adam Sachs is a Spanish-to-English translator specializing in food and beverage. He has worked for over 20 years in hospitality, overseeing everything from tea quality for Starbucks to running a wine bar in Puerto Rico. He is a certified specialist of wine and holds the Wine and Spirit Education Trust III Award in wine, a BA in Latin American studies from Whitman College, and an MA in Translation from the University of Puerto Rico. On The ATA Podcast, he was interviewed about food and wine translation in 2023, and now serves as the co-host of the podcast. He splits his time between freelance translation and selling natural wine, spirits, and sake for an importer based in Brooklyn.
